Let me take this opportunity to wish you and your loved ones healing love and protection.
Note: The official date for Mercury to go retrograde is August 28. From years of observation, I have always extended the retrograde period of this planet longer than the "official" date because I have observed its effects extending long before and after that day. The heavens are large, and there is no definitive "line" drawn in the sky. In a more poetic sense, perhaps that tiny planet slows before it stops and we are feeling that slowing energy before the official stopping motion.
The last Full Moon in Aquarius of August 11th had Uranus (ruler of Aquarius) induce some serious disturbing effects on many states by producing the huge black out. Uranus rules the sudden release of energy, explosions, surprising news, awful weather developments, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tornadoes, and news of outer space. Having it occur so close to the Supernova window, its impact upon man's sophisticated electronic equipment is far from over. Not only that, several major planets have gone retrograde right now. Mars (fire), Neptune (gasoline, oil), Uranus (surprises, release of energy), and Mercury (communication, transportation), are all in retrograde at the same time. Look at the sort of effects these have had lately.
Phoenix made national news when a pipeline broke and thousands of people found themselves stranded or unable to find gas. Imagine that! I live in Phoenix, and it took me three hours to find gas for my hot rod vehicle. I had to visit five stations, and then I waited in line for about 45 minutes at the last one. Mercury rules transportation and every moving part, including your car.
When in retrograde motion the tiny planet will do all it can to STOP you (or your car) by producing unexpected or confusing events that will strand you anywhere. All that you will try to do by air land or water will be stopped by mercury in any way, shape and form.
This has been seen with several occurances so far, the beached whale, the NY black out, and the Phoenix gas shortage to name a few. Gasoline has become a precious commodity in Phoenix in the week and a half since safety concerns shut down a pipeline that delivers a third of the city's supply. Like thousands of people losing power in so many states last week, the failure of the Tucson pipeline had also its domino effect. The Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano gave a speech on Channel 5 today wondering (like all others unenlightened of the stars), what happened, and tried hard to give plausible explanations. However she is not aware of the power of the stars above her head and how Mercury's retrograde affected the electronic security system and shut it all down. She is not aware of Neptune's retrograde causing gasoline problems. I am saddened that our leaders of this world do not possess cosmic consciousness and are as untaught as the very people they are trying so hard to lead. The same applies for all our branches of government and our educational system.

Prediction: Double-check all your appointments, and if you can, postpone traveling and flying during this Supernova "window". Communication and electricity will be cut off, and a general loss of power is to be expected. Appliances, computers, telephones, planes, trains, cars, all of these "tools" will be affected by this energy. They will be stopped in one way or another.

The 10-ton humpback whale leapt out of the water onto the boat.
LONDON, England (Reuters) -- A British family's holiday was rudely interrupted when a 30-foot (9-meter) whale crashed onto their sailing boat off the east coast of Australia.
As usual the celestial scheme and Divine order is unmistakably and undoubtly taking place in everyone's life (at their expense). I can see the manifestation of the supreme unfolding in all human affairs and I can not help to feel sorrowful as I watch. I have been trying so hard over the years to bring that precious light to so many people in need to understand the Divine outside of rigid science or religious doctrines. Only when the student is ready will the teacher appear… The world is burdened with unknowingness that translates into fear, religious fanaticism, greed, war, death and drama.
99% of the people walking this earth are robots of the stars suffering their pessimistic influences. They are incapable of applying their wills to fight those negative inclinations because they lack the knowledge of the source of their problems. They become limited because the true essence of knowledge is missing or has been replaced by rigid scientific or religious ideas.
Be ready for the Supernova impact especially with the nasty Tail of the Dragon in the dramatic sign of Scorpio. Remember knowledge is power and ignorance will bring penalty, no one is above the stars unless you master the language of the Gods, the Divine dialect, the sacred eternal celestial hieroglyphs. You are under their jurisdiction and as long as you remain unaware, a victim. If you are concerned about a friend or a family member, chances are the Tail of the Dragon is effecting their lives by imposing dramatic happenings, losses, depressions and serious psychological changes. Let them know about my newsletter, pass it on, and tell them to sign up and read all previous ones, especially in relationship to the dragon.
One of my good friends born in August experienced the loss of her father (also born in August) last week due an accident in Phoenix. She called me crying and told me, "Dr. Turi I wish I could have convinced my dad to read and listen to your advice for Leo in your Moon Power. You said the dragon will put stress and drama in the home and family area and you were so right. I told him to be very careful after reading your book. Just before he left home I told him to be very careful with the moon in the deadly sign of Scorpio but he laughed as usual and never returned home that night." I did all I could to help her devastated spirit but only time will heal her deep wounds. Crashed a car? Blame full moon
LONDON - A British insurance company has warned drivers to be extra careful whenever there is a full moon.
LUNAR SPECTACULAR: The rising moon was seen in its full splendour on Monday at Greece's Acropolis hill, which is being restored in preparation for the Athens 2004 Olympic Games. Yesterday's brightest summer full moon was celebrated in Greece with most of the archaeological sites, including Acropolis, remaining open at night, for those who wished to watch the moon from a special spot. -- EPA
Despite several studies finding no relationship between lunar phases and human behaviour, the Churchill Insurance Group PLC claims to have found a statistical link in its database of three million auto policies between bad driving and how much of the moon is visible from Earth.
It says there are on average 14 per cent more accidents during full moon periods than during new moon periods. 'All types of accidents increase, from multi-vehicle crashes, single-car collisions to drivers simply reversing into lamp-posts.'
Churchill says it turned for an explanation to Briton Simon Brown, an author of several books on fengshui, the ancient Chinese principles of harmony with natural and man-made environments.
Mr Brown theorises an increase in 'yang' traits such as impatience or aggressiveness during those periods as opposed to gentler 'yin' traits.
But a Canadian researcher, psychologist Ivan Kelly of the University of Saskatchewan, thinks it is a dubious idea.
Professor Kelly, who has authored 15 papers on the subject, told National Geographic News last month: 'My own opinion is that the case for full moon effects has not been made.'
Just in case, though, Churchill passes along a variety of dietary tips from Mr Brown to control 'yang', including avoiding meat, salt, eggs and alcohol and increasing intakes of lightly cooked or raw vegetables and fruits.
