Honoring Spirits

Hello all:
As always love and light to every one of my readers.
As you know my life can be very demanding. I travel a lot and take care of people's spiritual equilibriums, health, and minds. I give no less than 100% and sometimes need to take some time off to recharge my own batteries. I try to get away from the congested city of Phoenix for at least one day a month. I am lucky to be able to regenerate my spirit in Sedona's red mountains. A few weeks ago I took two of my good friends Gayle and her daughter Kaitlin to the Sedona Red Rock vortexes. The Grand Canyon, the Petrified Forest and the meteor crater are other great places to visit, for those who have never visited Arizona. Both ladies are exceptionally sharp and extremely spiritual. Kaitlin brought her precious healing crystals with her to take to my favorite place and perform an Indian ritual. They simply loved the idea of spiritually recharging themselves and the healing rocks. We made all the arrangements the previous night and left Phoenix the next day in the wee morning hours. My sports car is not that comfortable to sit in the back seat, so I decided to take my spacious SUV, as I always bring back exotic cactus or rocks from the location for my house. I like the energy of Sedona in my front yard!
As always in Arizona the day was sunny and simply fantastic. I was expecting a busy road trip to this well-known tourist location and wanted to avoid the heavy Sunday traffic. I also wanted to make sure my two friends would have a great time, enjoy the scenery as much as possible, and make the most out of this trip. I drove past Sedona and took another highway just before Flagstaff. The road goes several miles through the magnificent canyons, and the view is so picturesque through the mountainous twisted road. We also stopped at a nice little restaurant located against the high mountain walls to enjoy the site, the good food and to breathe the fresh forest air.
After lunch we resumed driving and stopped a few miles down by the river. The site is simply marvelous; birds, big old trees, the forest and the running water makes it a marvelous site for pictures taking. I asked Kaitlin to go down the slope to the picturesque stream and sit on a rock.

We left the river and drove a few more miles through the red mountains to Sedona. We arrived on the village main street and as expected the place was full of energized tourists. Both Gayle and Kaitlin explored many Indian and metaphysical shops. As a typical man I don't really like shopping but I had fun watching them. Local Indian musicians were uplifting and refreshed the surroundings with the deep sounds of their flutes and the profound resonance of their tambourines.
After a while we took to the road once again to arrive at our final destination; the red rock vortexes. I parked the SUV and we hiked the rocky trail up the hill. I carried my camera and Kaitlin's heavy bag of crystals. On the way up I asked them to "pose" for me and took some memorable shots of them.

We finally made it all the way. Was I happy and relieved! I also knew that the way down would be much easier for my back and shoulder.

I suggested that they remove their shoes in order to start connecting with the sacred ground. I asked Gayle and Kaitlin to collect as many pebbles as possible and construct a circle on the ground. It took some time for the three of us to gather enough small red stones to make the magic ring. Four much bigger stones were used to mark the compass points of the magnificent red mountain rock formation. I then asked them to pick some green vegetation from the vortex and place it in front of the four big stones inside the circle.
The first part of the ritual comprises praying, acknowledging, respecting, and invoking all Indian spirits. You must stand with your eyes closed, facing the highest vortex with both arms crossed on your heart. Remember mystical energy emanating from Indian spirits is there even if you cannot perceive it. Realize that those spirits were not the familiar Indian warriors but highly respected medicine men and women of the past including high Indian Chiefs. Over the century thousands of long gone unworldly Indian elites are there and their spirits have never left that exceptional location. The next part of the ritual is to turn right, face the second big rock and the far away mountain formation, and then continue to the remaining 3rd and 4th areas. You can also add or burn wild sage to perform the ritual.
One at the time we did the Respect ritual and sent our prayers to the four corners of the earth. Always acknowledge the Indian spirits and pray for them, their families, and their dead warriors defending the land and their rights.
Slowly and cautiously Gayle and I took the crystals out of the bag and passed them on to Kaitlin. She was sitting in the circle ready for her own spiritual work and the recharging of her healing crystals. She carefully placed all of them around herself.
Gayle and I left to allow her more concentration and privacy. She was in intense thought but her face was quiet and peaceful. Sitting right in the center of the vortex, she was breathing slowly and deeply taking in all the power of the red rock mountain. I could psychically see many Indian Chiefs dancing and singing around her. I could also perceive old Indian medicine women touching her crystals and blowing pure white, blue and green spiritual light energy into her soul. I saw a dance with departed powerful Indian spirit, where wolves, bears and eagles allied with them to give Kaitlin the strength she needs for the mission she chooses to accomplish for the children of this world.
Being so psychic, Gayle was also moved in a different but powerful way. She spent much time walking around the vortex bare foot doing her own deep spiritual work. I am sure she was very aware of the presence of so many Indian spirits and gave them respect in her own way. Gayle and Kaitlin's prayers will also be answered as the Chiefs are still and will always watch over them.
The experience was intense for me and joyful and relaxing for the girls judging by the letters of thanks they sent me. There is much going on out of sight for any ritual. To perceive all those hidden spiritual manifestations was my own blessing on that trip. I felt quiet and did not share with Gayle and Kaitlin my visions at the time, but I am sure they will appreciate my insights now.
Lastly, it is important to always "feed" the spirits, so make sure to leave something behind in the circle. You can see we left a piece of candy. Yahete

Remark: I remember Sedona 15 years ago when only a few houses and a church disfigured the natural spiritual environment. I was amazed to see how many churches are now polluting this sacred Indian reservation. More houses of worship are still being built and in a few years the entire area will be packed with religious buildings and their particular denominations. What a lack of respect for the Indian ancient traditions! Some of those "holy" buildings are located in the most expensive areas and some against the beautiful red rock formations. Only those in power have the funds to erect such buildings in the expensive parts of town and such remote areas. That tells you where wealth really is and what money and power can do. Some of those high ranked zoning executives are very religious and "bought" with religious money! All this in total disregard or respect for the Indian's traditions who for centuries lived and worshipped nature under the stars.

The story of the Inter Cetera Bull
Note: Even though the church or Bible mentions not to use astrology, see that behind the scenes, it is another story:
Back in October 16, 1997 I was at the annual AZ state fair doing consultations when a well-dressed gentleman asked for a reading. I asked his date of birth and knew immediately that he was born with a Sagittarius Dragon's Head (foreigners, law, Indians, philosophy, higher learning etc.). As a Truth seeker and a messenger of the gods I knew he had an important message to share to the world and told him so. We spoke for a while then during his reading I mentioned his many Indian past lives. He was astonished by my ability and confirmed that he was involved in the Indigenous Law Institute. Incidentally he was a law practitioner and a very educated person. He was very happy with my work and he told me he was going to come back with an important letter for me. A few minutes later he presented me with a letter he wrote on May 4th, 1993 to Pope John Paul II. After reading the content and in the name of the truth and the Indian people and with his permission I decided to share its content with all of you.

Hi Holiness, Pope John Paul II,
In a special message to the American Indians in Santa Domingo on October 13, 1992 you observed that it is impossible to forget "the enormous suffering" of the Indian people during the "conquest and colonization" of the Americas. You also pledged that the church will work to defend Indian rights. WE applaud your statement, for it was an important step towards healing and the restoration of Native spiritual traditions.
Five hundred years ago, your predecessor, Pope Alexander VI, issued the now famous "Inter Cetera Bull." That papal decree expressed the pope's desire that "barbarous nations," those " discovered" and yet to be "discovered," be subjugated" and reduced to the Catholic faith and Christian religion. He said that in this way, the "Christian empire" would be propagated. The Inter Cetera Bull was in direct line with an earlier bull issued in 1452 by Pope Nicholas V. to King Alfonso V. of Portugal, which called upon the King "to invade, search out, capture, vanquish, and subdue all Saracens and pagans, whatsoever, and other enemies of Christ."
Pope Nicholas also directed Alfonso to take away and convert the non-Christians' possessions and property, "and to reduce their person to perpetual slavery."
Now in 1993, the "International year of the World's Indigenous People," as declared by the United Nations, our spiritual elders tell us that it is time for the age of Subjugation to end. During that age, the Traditional Nations and People of the western Hemisphere have endured what historian David Stannard has referred as to as the worst holocaust in the history of humanity. For many of us it still continues. It is now time to acknowledge that the papal documents mentioned above directly contributed to our suffering, misery, and to the genocide committed against us.
We therefore call upon you, with all the respect that you deserve as the head of the Vatican City State, and as the Supreme Head of the Roman Catholic Church, to formally revoke - in a bilateral ceremony with our spiritual elders and representatives - The Inter Cetera Bull of May 4, 1493. By doing so, you will thereby demonstrate your solidarity with Indigenous Nations and Peoples throughout the world.
The revocation will not only show your love and affection, but also your willingness to honor and respect our inherent rights to liberty, justice, and peace. Your action will also show that the Catholic Church supports and defends the territorial ownership and integrity of our Nations, and our desire to be free of all forms of subjugation. You will thereby align yourself with our efforts to revitalize and to restore our own Spiritual Ways of Life, in keeping with the Natural Laws given to each of our respective Nations by the creator.
For generations now, the Church has taught our people that our own ceremonial traditions are "Heathen" and "pagan". Many of us have been taught to fear, ridicule, and even deny our own family members who follow traditional ceremonial practices.
Score of our Nations perished and many our languages and natural star ceremonies destroyed and lost.
In parochial boarding schools the Church forbade our children from speaking their own language often inflicting abusive punishments.
The Vatican holds human remains and sacred ritual objects. We call upon the Vatican to return the objects and the remains of our ancestors to our communities so that they may be given proper traditional burials.
We call upon the Vatican to open its archives to us so that our own scholars may study all the records about our past.
The church is now holding portions of our lands, which nation-state governments "gave" to the church. It is now time to restore those lands to their rightful indigenous owners. Most of all the revocation will support the restoration of our sacred lands which at present are being unjustly and unlawfully occupied, land such as Black Hills of the Lakota and their Allied Nations, Newe Segovia of the Western Shoshone Nation and MT, Graham of the Apache Nation, just to name a few of those sacred lands. Many more sites in the United States of America are without respect for our traditions being abused by institutions; all in the name of greed, wealth and power.
History also reveals that the Church persecuted women of heart-centered spiritual traditions through the Inquisition and other repressive campaign in Europe as well as the Western Hemisphere. Untold women and children suffered and died from this unspeakable dark ages mistreatment. The revocation will enable the Church to deal honestly candidly, and openly with these shadows of its history. Such disclosure is a difficult yet necessary step toward the healing that now needs to occur for the sake of all beings.
We hereby invite you and your official representatives to meet with us for an International Summit of Indigenous Nations, so that we may discuss these and other issues face to face, heart-to-heart, and mind-to-mind. For the sake of our healing, the healing of Mother Earth, and the benefit of future generations, we ask you not to turn your heart away from us.
In conclusion, we are writing you this letter because you have demonstrated to the world community that you are a person of great vision. We invite you to walk with us on the Sacred Path toward the healing of historical guilt, grief, and shame. With the ceremonial revocation, we will honor the Indigenous principle "respect the Earth as our Mother, and have a Sacred Regard for All Living Things."
