I wanted to thank you so VERY much for the incredible amount of emails of support sent to Amy. Your caring words did the job and she is feeling much better reading the continuous amount of email poring to her mailbox. She told me reading your words of love helped her drastically to deal with this tragedy. So many of you took the time to write her poetry and here is a sample of an email she sent me…

A Message From Ken
Greetings Canyon Excursionists. The mailouts went out Friday. Please return ASAP. We are now at a point where we need to poll everyone on sleeping arrangements. We anticipate two per room unless you let me know other wise, or if you have a preferred roomate we need to know. Obviously those who are related will assigned the same room, unless otherwise requested. We have one request for four in a room and that's fine.
Notice how low in the southern sky the moon is now during the full moon phase. It is what we call out-of-bounds which means it is further south than the sun travels each year to the winter solstice.
I will be talking about the solstices and the moon movements as they are tied in with Chaco Canyon's dagger of fire. We'll be doing that around the campfire on Tuesday night after dinner. You can bet Dr. Turi will tell us about the dragons head and tail. As it turns out, this is a very unique time for the head and tail as they reverse during our trip. This happens every 9.3 years.
