It’s a fact that America is the best country in the world in terms of medical service and education and this is why many people from all over the world will come to this impressive country to school themselves. The only problem is that the inflation is growing steadily and brings the middle class American consumer to pay an enormous price for about anything; including buying a house or college education. But if you need any type of medical attention, then the price becomes instantaneously exorbitant and many people are left sad and unfulfilled.

Tonight on the “Discovery Health” channel; I was watching a few plastic surgeons performing miracles on their patients. This is indeed the best form of advertisement for the medical practitioners, as the viewers can appreciate in a few minutes the tremendous results following the plastic surgery procedures. Then, at the end of each segment they do flash the work performed, time spent on the patient and the enormous price tag; which usually goes anywhere from ten to fifty thousands dollars and up. Thus, unless you are very wealthy
(your insurance will NOT cover any cosmetic surgery procedures) you are lost at hoping to win the Lottery. There are special deals available, but again, you have to know people because most of the time in life it's who you know, not always what you know.

I got that opportunity a couple years ago, when a medical doctor friend of mine in Scottsdale AZ, approached me wanting to perform a Blepharoplasty surgery (eyelid surgery). This cosmetic procedure is designed to correct droopy upper eyelids and lower lid bags and it is one of the most popular cosmetics procedures in the US. He told me he could do it for free, but the entire surgical procedure would be televised. Our schedules conflicted and I could not benefit from the opportunity.

This is when I realized that I actually could make some of my reader’s wildest dreams come true; pertaining to any and all forms of surgery; for a fraction of the price. For those of you who read my previous newsletters “Asia Trip” while visiting my friends Cyril in Thailand; I went through an ear surgery and it was the best thing I could ever do for myself. I was reluctant, like anyone would be to “trust” anyone outside of the US medical field and its safety procedures. In my research, I was astonished to find out that a variety of dangerous surgical procedures such as breast implants, liposuction, hair transplant, reconstructive facial or even eyes ears or nose surgery were performed in a back drop “clinic” located in a high rise stylish building. Most of the time, in order to save money; the patient is unknowingly taking serious chances with his/her health and most of all; the results could be horrifying. Hundreds of thousands of uneducated victims found out the hard way and suffer from serious medical complications. Many unlucky people seek justice by suing the practitioner, but this entire nightmare could easily have been avoided with a little investigation and lots of common sense.

I firmly believe that qualified doctors should perform ALL major surgical procedures in a well-established hospital. But before letting anyone operate on me, I verified my friend’s credentials and years in surgical practice. But most importantly ALL major operation MUST be carried out in a trustworthy hospital where all emergency equipments are available in case of unsuspected difficulty. But a large number of US plastic surgeons will not invest in a well-established medical facility because of the very expensive rental equipment and in place medications.
